About Our Beneficiaries

Receiving the Impact Grant:

With a focus on skill development, real-world job experience, and trauma-informed care, HOPEWORKS propels young adults into long-term living wage careers that put them on the path for healing and financial stability.

Since the organization was founded in 2000, thousands of Hopeworks trainees have become connected to life-changing opportunities where their growing technology skills go to work for enterprising businesses within the community. In 2022-2023, Hopeworks placed over 100 young adults in living wage jobs, paying an average salary of $44,000 per year, generating over $4.4 million dollars in additional wages. Those numbers mean real change–homes bought and families supported.

Funds raised through Halo Ball 2024 will support Hopeworks growth by providing training stipends, allowing more young adults to start on a path to transforming their lives. Each $1,950 raised will cover stipends to support one young adult through the training and into a paid internship, including technology, training, career readiness coaching, and barrier reduction support (mental health, food insecurity, and housing).

Receiving the Seed Grant:

PAWS HEALING HEROES provides service dogs to Veterans in need. These service dogs are primarily found in rescue shelters and then entered into a training program. The training program enables them to be certified to work with Veterans depending on the needs they have. The average cost to rescue, train, and present a service dog to a Veteran is $4,000 - $11,000.
