Beneficiary Spotlight: Covenant House New Jersey

Covenant House New Jersey (CHNJ) has been providing services to Camden’s most vulnerable children since 2012 through direct street outreach and its drop-in center on Federal Street. Last year alone, they served 220 young people through various means at the Camden Drop-in Center. CHNJ’s goal in Camden is to provide homeless and at-risk youth with food, shelter, physical and mental health care, legal services, education, job training services, transportation, and help in finding and maintaining permanent housing. The staff at the CHNJ Drop-in Center work to alleviate hunger and provide necessities to the homeless, runaway, and trafficked youth in the area. This includes the provision of food, water, clothing, hygiene supplies, guidance and advice, and referrals.
